Lehman & Company (JFLCO), a leading middle- market private equity firm focused exclusively on the aerospace, defense, maritime, government and environmental sectors, recently annoucned that an investment affiliate has acquired Inland Pipe Rehabilitation LLC (IPR). Founded in 1973, IPR is a leading provider of trenchless pipe rehabilitation solutions and technology to the municipal wastewater and storm water markets. The company 's technologies and services provide government customers with minimally disruptive, cost-effective solutions to manage aging underground pipe infrastructure. "We are excited to have IPR join our growing portfolio of companies in the environmental services sector," said JFLCO partner Glenn Shor. " The company is an excellent fit with our investment strategy given its strong market position, comprehensive suite of services and talented workforce. We believe IPR has significant opportunities for growth given the increasing demand for efficient, cost-effective solutions to service the critical, but aging, municipal wastewater and storm water infrastructure." IPR CEO Robert McCrae said: "J.F. Lehman & Company is an excellent partner to help facilitate the next phase of IPR's growth. We look forward to leveraging JFLCO's industry and operating experience as well as their capital base while continuing our successful history of servicing the municipal pipe wastewater and storm water markets." IPR announced in November that it had acquired Daystar Composites LLC. As part of the purchase, Daystar Composites will change its name to Daystar Composites: An IPR Company. Daystar Composites provides contractors and utility owners with state of the art cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liners and products designed for the rehabilitation of water and wastewater pipe infrastructure. J.F. Lehman & Company Acquires Inland Pipe Rehabilitation LLC The Kleinfelder Group Inc., an engineering, construction management, design and environmental professional services firm with corporate offices in San Diego, recently announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by Wind Point Partners, a private equity investment firm, in conjunction with the management of the firm. " The change in ownership will not affect the company 's current management team, nor its current operations," said George J. Pierson, who has served as Kleinfelder 's CEO since late 2016. As CEO, Pierson and his team have focused on strengthening the management team, and implementing a culture of authority, responsibility and accountability across the business to achieve significant growth in profitability across its operations. " This partnership with Wind Point will help remove the final obstacle of an unsustainable capital structure and allow Kleinfelder, and the professional men and women of Kleinfelder, to achieve their full potential. With Wind Point as a partner, we expect to see significant growth and opportunity for all our employees, while continuing to provide superior service to our clients," said Pierson. Upon shareholder approval, it is expected that the acquisition was to close at the end of November 2018. The Kleinfelder Group Acquired by Wind Point Partners Bissinger will focus on building a certified applicator base and expanding Quadex equipment and repair material sales throughout Europe. "We are excited to have Karl on board. His notable industry experience and knowledge of the European market will make him a valuable asset," states Vortex Companies CEO Mike Vellano. "With some of our products passing critical performance tests in Europe, it 's time for us to accelerate our growth plans. Karl's primary charge will be to build an applicator network for the Quadex Lining System and sprayMASTER manhole rehabilitation rigs, overseeing product sales such as GeoKrete geopolymer and a Structure Guardâ„¢ epoxies and opening up new markets throughout Europe." Bissinger has a wealth of design, production and business management experience in wastewater and stormwater industry. "I am extremely excited about this new stage in my career," said Bissinger. " The Vortex Companies is completely committed to the improvement of our global infrastructure. Its expansion into Europe is a testament to that commitment," he added. Throughout his 15-plus year career, Bissinger has held a number of key management positions with the likes of Budaplast a manufacturer pipe, fittings, and shafts for trenchless reconstruction; Amiblu, a joint venture operation between Amiantit and Hobas Europe, Amiantit Corporation, and Neropipe & Design GmbH, a company he started in 2011.
