Inland Pipe Rehabilitation, LLC (IPR) recently announced the acquisition of Daystar Composites LLC. As part of the purchase, Daystar Composites LLC will change its name to Daystar Composites: an IPR Company. Daystar Composites, LLC provides contractors and utility owners with state-of-the-art cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liners and products designed for the rehabilitation of water and wastewater pipe infrastructure. " This acquisition represents the next chapter in IPR's strategic plan, as we continue to diversify and grow our business," said IPR president and CEO Robert McCrae. " This acquisition positions IPR to build on our capabilities as a national leader in CIPP lining technology and trenchless pipe rehabilitation. As our position grows in the water and wastewater sector, IPR has significant opportunities to capture a larger share of the market and accelerate our growth prospects," McCrae continued. " This strategic transaction of complementary organizations will deliver meaningful benefits for equity owners, employees and customers." Headquartered in Conyers, Georgia, IPR offers a wide range of installed rehabilitation solutions that restore communities with safe, smart and lasting infrastructure. Garney, a 100 percent employee owned company, is a national leader in water and wastewater construction, with nearly 1,350 employee-owners and an annual revenue of $842 million in 2017. The partnership provides Warren Environmental and A&W Maintenance with significant resources and financial strength for continued long-term growth in the epoxy coating systems industry. In addition, current and future employees gain a beneficial ownership interest in the combined companies without any personal investment. Co-founders of Warren Environmental and A&W Maintenance, Danny and Jane Warren, were attracted to Garney's culture, which closely mimics its own strong culture, as well as its ownership structure. This structure gives its employees financial interest in the businesses' success and represents a tangible way for the co-founders to reward existing employees who have played a critical role since each company's inception nearly 35 years ago. "Our final decision to move forward with Garney was based on a mutual company philosophy of honesty in the workplace, and care for the people who work for our companies," said Danny Warren. "It was essential that our team of dedicated employees be secure and thrive after the sale of our companies. Garney's employee owned structure provides that." Warren Environmental manufacturers an epoxy system that offers a cost- effective option to coat, protect and rehabilitate structures with minimal downtime. A&W Maintenance is the in-house master applicator and serves as the training crew for all Warren Environmental's approved applicators worldwide.
